The miniULTRA has an IPX6 water resistance rating, while the CT2 chiller is rated IPX4. Both are suitable for outdoor use.
However, for your safety and the safety of others, make sure the chiller is plugged into an AC socket or extension cable that is appropriate for outdoor use, properly grounded, has a built-in surge protector, and ideally is IP65 rated.
Always turn off the chiller before starting your cold water therapy session. While both chillers have an IPX rating for water resistance, it's still recommended to keep them dry at all times. Do not immerse, splash, or spray the chiller unit with water. -
Yes you can!
If you'd like the water to last longer, using Bromine tablets or powder should extend the usable time up to 1 month.
Bromine is more skin-friendly and lasts longer than Chlorine in cold water and you'll need very little to be effective.

We recommend keeping your chiller on when the ice bath is not in use. This allows it to continuously filter the water, ensuring freshness.
The chiller automatically turns off once it reaches the set temperature, optimizing energy efficiency.
But remember, for safety, to always switch off the chiller unit during your ice bath session.

Ozone water treatment is far better for the environment than using Chlorine!
The built-in internal Ozone water treatment device on the CT2 chiller quickly breaks down into Oxygen when it makes contact with water, helping to quickly clean away microbes.

The Ozone generator in the CT2 chiller activates roughly every hour for 5 minutes at a time. This can be adjusted higher and lower depending on requirements.
We recommend the chiller is left on at all times to keep the water moving and the Ozone active.

How do I maintain it, is it like my car AC, and needs to be re-gassed every year or so?
Maintenance purely lies with the filters, cleaning the metal mesh in the chiller, and replacing the particle filter.
The heat pump system is fully sealed and leak tested, and should never need to be maintained. The main flow and priming pumps have an exceptional lifespan, and are expected to last for more than 10 years of continuous use.

In general, the only aspects that can go wrong are dirt and debris clogging up the filters and eventually passing into the internal systems.
This results in poor flow, and eventually no cooling. Should this happen, you can flush the system with a strong flow of water and later we'll have a cleaning product available for this.
We have a 1 year warranty that covers any manufacturing issues, and we will soon be offering a service plan for our engineers to visit and resolve any issues.
I’m delighted with my chiller. Having read some contradictory info on the Lumi website, I contacted customer service who confirmed that this chiller CAN BE KEFT OUTSIDE IN THE RAIN. So far I’m happy with its capabilities to get my ice bath down to 9C which is as low as I’ve gone so far.
Top ice bath
What an upgrade! We were ice bathing in what we thought was ice water (with 7 large ice blocks), we thought it was cold until we started using the pro pod with the chiller unit. Left it running through the night and woke up to the coldest ice bath yet. So far really impressed with the upgrade quality and not having to mess about with ice blocks after every use is a massive win when you’re busy.
A lovely little compact unit that looks great and is pretty quiet too. It does however take a while to get the ice tub cool and its obviously using up a lot of electric to get it down to a cold temperature.
This mini chiller is the bomb!!! Even on these hot days (36°-38°C) it keeps the water below 15°C allowing me to take my iced baths even in the middle of summer!!! A must have!!!
