When you drain the water from your ice bath, to extend the life of your next fill, we recommend washing the inside surfaces with warm soapy water.

Yes, its fine to add Epsom Salt to your ice bath, there are some really good reasons why you would want to!
Espom salts are safe to use, and may have health benefits by supplementing your magnesium levels, but chloride salts (e.g., table salt, road salt) are not safe to use.

Yes you can!
If you'd like the water to last longer, using Bromine tablets or powder should extend the usable time up to 1 month.
Bromine is more skin-friendly and lasts longer than Chlorine in cold water and you'll need very little to be effective.

DO NOT USE if you are: - pregnant, have heart disease or high blood pressure, have diabetes, complications such as neuropathy or retinal damage, you wear a pacemaker, history of frostbite, have an open wound, had recent surgery, epilepsy or any other health concerns or risks.
Using an ice bath can dramatically decrease your body core temperature. The immersion in cold water constricts blood vessels and slows the flow of blood around the body, which combined with health complications, can cause your blood pressure to rise and give you a higher chance of cardiac arrest or stroke.
Side effects
The most noticeable side effect of an ice bath is feeling intense cold, but other side effects of staying in an ice bath for too long are: - hypothermia, frostbite, tachycardia (fast heart beat), arrhythmias (abnormal heart beat), and anaphylactic shock.
Our recommendation
Despite the potential side effects and warnings, using an ice bath correctly actually has many health benefits! We will always recommend you begin by spending no more than a few minutes in the ice bath, and slowly working you way up to the recommended time, never push your body beyond its limits.
Had other cheaper cold dips in the past, all ended up in the bin. This is worth every penny.
I have been doing ice baths for 3 years and this purchase was a reward and an upgrade . I am very happy with pro ice barrel . It’s solid with plenty of room , it is amazing quality. I would highly recommend.
The LUMI Recovery POD PRO and MiniChiller make ice baths suitable for everyday use. Before, we made ice baths with a rain barrel and homemade ice blocks. That was always a lot of work and we couldn't get the water below 6°C.
Our motivation for buying from LUMI was to be able to do colder ice baths more often and have less work and stress. These expectations were fully met. It's a dream ;-)
The MiniChiller cools the water to 3°C without any problems. We haven't tried anything colder yet. Then we can just get in and enjoy.
We can now do several ice baths a week, in the morning or during a break. The effects are great.
On the one hand, colder ice baths below 5°C seem to be much more effective. The time spent in the ice bath is shortened as a result, but the effects are stronger. In addition, the more frequent use also increases the effect.
In relation to the resulting improvements (better regeneration, more focus and much more) and the time saved, the purchase price is really a bargain. I can only recommend it to anyone who wants to seriously pursue cold therapy.

I love my new lumi pod pro. Really like the more rigid nature of the barrel and find it much easier to get in and out of. Had the pro max which was great but I find that the lumi pod pro keeps the temperature of the water that little bit cooler. Great investment for my mental and physical health
